One man cannot hope to change an era alone. We have followed the journey of Himura Kenshin, a hitokiri turned rurouni. His epic swordsmanship and benevolence created another legend to run counter to his other past - that of the Battousai, the Man Slayer. The Battousai that existed at the end of the Tokugawa Era was the silent voice in history who paved the way to Meiji and what was hoped to be an era of peace. To bring the new age, lives were taken, loves were lost, and one man's soul was almost broken, only to be reclaimed from the edge of madness. With four haunting episodes, the Tsuiokuhen OAV tells the tale of a Ishin Shinshi hitokiri with all the emptiness, pain, love, and loss that makes Watsuki Nobuhiro's work a legacy.
